May 18, 2010: Dubai, UAE – The Local Organising Committee of the 10th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) together with the Dubai Sports Council, have announced two key appointments for the Championships which will take place in Dubai from December 15-19, 2010.

Jumbo Grandi Eventi, and Promoseven Sports Marketing have come on board to ensure the success of what promises to be the largest swimming event of its kind in the Middle East.

Jumbo Grandi Eventi will be managing the accommodation needs for the event for all accredited swimmers, officials, members of the media and FINA family. The Italian-based company originated in Rome in 2000 and have a phenomenal amount of experience, having worked on the winter Olympics, the Americas Cup and of course the 13th FINA World Championships in Rome 2009.

That event saw Jumbo Grandi Eventi operating as accommodation provider and official organiser of the Roma09 Village, with more than 20,000 square meters of space prepared for 500,000 visitors. 

Meanwhile, Promoseven Sports Marketing, will be managing the sponsorship, marketing, advertising and promotion of the event locally. The Dubai-based company was involved in the city’s bid to host the 10th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) and boasts an exceptional record of managing international sporting events in the Middle East and beyond.

Promoseven Sports is the joint marketing agency for the Asian Games, having worked on the promotion of the Doha and upcoming Guangzhou Games as well as acting as advertising agents for the Olympic Council of Asia. Other major events include the Rugby World Cup Sevens (held in Dubai in 2009 as a showcase for the sport and instrumental in its inclusion in the Olympic programme just a few months later), the annual Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, and the hugely popular Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens.
